From Trafficking Victim to Cybercrime Whistleblower
Huntress | Hear a survivor’s firsthand story and learn how today’s scams really work, including how AI is making them feel more real than ever and what you can do to stay safe.
Mohammad Muzahir a.k.a., “Red Bull,” a whistleblower who escaped a scam compound and helped shed light on what goes on inside. After accepting a computer engineering job overseas, Red Bull instead found himself in a scam compound in Laos, where he was forced to work 15 hours a day, scamming people in fake crypto investments.
While trapped in the compound, Mohammad reached out to journalist and author Andy Greenberg, hoping to share what was happening to protect others and help shut down the scam industry. Months of communication, sharing videos, and providing screen grabs of what went on in the compound became a stunning expose in WIRED.
“The real product wasn’t money, it was trust. Trust was manufactured and then converted into money.” — Mohammad Muzahir
